Not a numbers person? Hate wading through pages of heavy text? Tend to be more visual than most? You're not alone: people learn in different ways. While some of us may be able to read a report or sit in on a presentation, most people absorb information better through active engagement in what they are learning.

Lieberman Learning Labs™ facilitate key stakeholders in the active engagement and better understanding of research findings through a multi-sensorial, excercise-driven process. This level of deeper involvement and participation promotes a sense of owership among stakeholders and ensures the research findings will work their way through the organization with multiple champions behind them - and not wind up sitting on a shelf unused.

Using both Self-Discovery and Multiple Intelligences Theories, participants are able to “discover” and extract key research implications in the way they learn best.

For example, by employing Howard Gardner's Seven Intelligences Theory, we can take a room of varying levels, skillsets and roles and provide each an opportunity to learn and contribute:

  • Number/reasoning Smart: Generate recipes and diagrams
  • Music Smart: Write jingles/songs, make play lists
  • Body Smart: Act out stories via mime, charades or role-playing
  • Self Smart: Writes journals and essays
  • People Smart: "Conduct" a press conference or interview
  • Picture Smart: Draw, make collages/mobiles/scrapbooks
  • Word Smart: Write an ad or letter to the editor
